Maritime education for the classroom

NSW Maritime has embarked on a new safety awareness campaign in schools. NSW
high school students can now obtain their boating licence and learn crucial safety techniques at school, and
primary school students can learn all about maritime safety with a fun, free activity book, available through NSW Maritime.

2008 Sydney Harbour Week Award Winners
The Sydney Harbour Week Awards recognise the outstanding contribution individuals, community groups and organisations make to Sydney Harbour. They are founded on the Sydney Harbour Week vision: ‘To inform, educate and engage the community so as to encourage people to care for and share for Sydney Harbour’. The awards are presented at a function aboard the historic three-masted barque James Craig in Sydney Harbour as part of Sydney Harbour Week each March.
