Sydney Harbour Week AwardsRecipients of Sydney Harbour Week Awards are presented with miniature trophis of the iconic Hornby Lighthouse at South Head. Volunteers from the Australian Heritage Fleet hand craft the trophies in wood. Each is a small vanished replica of Hornby Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse structure in Sydney Harbour. The Sydney Harbour Week Awards are founded on the Sydney Harbour Week vision: ‘To inform, educate and engage the community so as to encourage people to care for and share Sydney Harbour’ The Awards were initiated by NSW Maritime to provide an opportunity to recognise the outstanding contribution individuals, community groups and organisations make to Sydney Harbour.
