Merimbula Bar is a sandy indentation, lying between Haycock and Merimbula Points, and is 2.25 miles wide in a north by west and south by east direction. The bay is 1.75 miles deep with depths of about 30 metres shoaling gradually to 9 metres at 350 off the beach.
