Brunswick River is 7 miles north-north-westward of Cape Byron. the entrance is protected by breakwaters on either side and a boat harbour used by fishing trawlers is provided upstream on the southern side of the middle arm of the river.
CAUTION - The entrance is narrow and dangerous and depths vary continually. Entry should not be attempted without local knowledge.
