NSW Regional Ports

NSW Maritime manages the regional ports of Eden and Yamba. This includes the provision of pilotage services and harbour master functions at each port, as well as ongoing investment in infrastructure.

Security measures, as required by the Commonwealth Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003,are also in place at both Eden and Yamba. Maritime Security Plans for both ports have been approved by the Commonwealth Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government.

Port of Eden

The Port of Eden is located on Twofold Bay on the far south coast of NSW. It is the largest fishing port in NSW and a major exporter of timber woodchips to Japan.

Port of Yamba

The Port of Yamba is located on the Clarence River in the Northern Rivers Region of NSW. It has a commercial wharf at Goodwood Island which is located 10 kilometres upstream from the river mouth. Regular general cargo services operate to Lord Howe Island, Norfolk Island, and New Zealand.
