The Maritime Authority of NSW (i.e. Maritime) has been abolished by the Transport Legislation Amendment Act 2011 with effect on and from 1 November 2011. It is now part of a new agency, Roads and Maritime Services. That Act has also amended the Ports and Maritime Administration Act 1995 to provide that a reference in any other Act, in any instrument made under any Act or in any document of any kind to the Maritime Authority of NSW is to be construed as a reference to Roads and Maritime Services.
