Hawkesbury River: Exclusive Use this weekend

Roads and Maritime Services has granted an exclusive use aquatic licence for the safe staging of a power boat event at the Hawkesbury River Windsor this weekend (11, 12 Feb).

Maritime Services Acting Regional Manager Hawkesbury/ Broken Bay Hendrik Clasie said boaters should keep clear of the area of the Hawkesbury at Governor Phillip Park, Windsor, between South Creek and the Windsor Bridge between 9am and 5pm both days.

“This area will be used exclusively for the safe staging of an Upper Hawkesbury Power Boat Club event,” Mr Clasie said.

“For safety reasons, skippers should keep clear of this area as it will be restricted for the event and patrolled by control vessels.”

Mr Clasie said unauthorised vessels would not be permitted to enter the exclusive use area unless authorised by event organisers, a NSW Maritime Boating Safety Officer or a Police Officer.
