IPART review of domestic lease rents

In December 2010, the NSW Premier requested that the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) review the current method for rental determination of domestic waterfront tenancies in NSW. The review will cover tenancies managed by both Maritime and the Crown Lands Division of the Department of Primary Industries (CLD) and will consider submissions by all stakeholders, interest groups, agencies and the community.

The current IPART review timeframe is:

11 April 11

Release of Issues Paper and call for submissions

31 May 11

Submissions due

27 Jun 11

Public roundtable

Early Sep-11

Release of Draft Report and call for submissions

Mid Oct-11

Submissions due

Until such time as IPART completes its review, Maritime will continue to calculate and charge rent according to the current rental and precinct formula.
