Wharf Booking System - Information & ProceduresNSW Maritime is responsible for administering the Wharf Booking System. The Wharf Booking System is designed to provide Commercial Vessel Operators a right of access to specified wharves in Sydney Harbour. This applies to wharves that are either owned, or the subject of a lease or management agreement with NSW Maritime. Primary consideration has been given to the following principles:
The wharves under this system are:
Types of bookingsThere are two types of bookings available to commercial vessel operators: Bulk Bookings: which are bookings that are made in 6 monthly blocks. Bulk bookings are only available to Commercial Vessel Operators who require bookings at specific times and wharves, on a daily/weekly basis.
Adhoc bookings: which are one-off bookings that may be made by Commercial Vessel Operators on a casual basis. Prepaid CreditPrepaid credit can be placed on the account by way of cash, cheque, money order, eftpos or credit card payment at least one day prior to making bookings. What information needs to be provided in order to make a booking? In order to register to use the wharf booking system, you are required to complete the “Wharf Booking Access Application Form” and forward it to NSW Maritime. The user name(s) you provide will be added to our Wharf Booking System and NSW Maritime will then provide you with an initial password to enable you to log on to make your own bookings on-line. Information regarding vessel name, type, length, registration/survey number, survey level and vessel passenger capacity must be provided to NSW Maritime prior to making online bookings.
