Lake Macquarie Mooring Management Plan

Lake Macquarie is a large coastal lake located south of Newcastle and approximately 120 kilometres north of Sydney. A Mooring Management Plan for Lake Macquarie was developed in conjunction with the community and relevant government agencies.

A draft Plan was on public display during August and October 2001 and a subsequent period during December 2001 and March 2002. Following evaluation of comments received and extensive community consultation, the Lake Macquarie Mooring Management Plan has been finalised.

For a majority of boat owners on Lake Macquarie there will no change to their existing mooring areas.
