Property Planning Information Session

The last six months has seen a number of changes to the process by which development is provided for on Sydney Harbour.

To help our stakeholders understand this change and its implications, Maritime will be hosting an information session on 28 February 2011. The information session is intended to cover off a range of issues including:

  • Streamlined construction approvals
    Consolidation of Permission to Build applications, removal of fees and the continued availability of accredited certifiers.
  • Subdivision
    Legislative changes to continue to provide for appropriate tenure agreements.
  • Leasing procedure
    What documentation is required to be provided to Maritime prior to formalising a tenure agreement or carrying out works.
  • Clearer application requirements
    New forms and a new Permission to Lodge policy which reduces the burden on applicants.

The information session is scheduled to commence at 9.30am at Maritime offices in Kent Street.
