Navigation Restriction - Botany Bay - No Anchoring Zone

A “no anchoring zone” has been established between a line joining La Perouse Point and Kurnell Jetty and a line joining Sutherland Point and Bare Island to protect the submarine high voltage cables laid by Energy Australia.

Cable laying operations continue and burying operations will commence shortly and will involve a moving construction/exclusion zone as described in Marine Notice SU1016 available at www.maritime.nsw.gov.au/marine_notices/botany1

Following the works, Warning Signs indicating the positions of the submarine cables and specifying a “no anchoring zone”, within 200m of the cables will be placed on the shore – refer to the attached chart for further details.
